With the main Huangguoshu fall (about 77.8 m high and 101 m wide) at its centre, the scenic area holds eighteen falls of various sizes in styles bold, strange, steep and graceful — a vast waterfall family, hailed as one of the world's largest waterfall clusters.
Some are developed for regular touring, such as the main fall, Doupotang and Silver-chain Falling Pool; others remain in a natural state among the surrounding valleys. Understanding the whole group deepens your sense of the water before you — its power in high water, its divided strands in mid water, its clarity in low water.
