Anshun food culture: the flavour of its streets - Huangguoshu Waterfall, Guizhou

Anshun is a city that eats well, with a rich variety of strongly flavoured street snacks. Bingjiang, duoduo fen and spicy dried tofu shreds are everyday favourites for locals.

Locals call snacking through the streets "guo jie diao." Start at the north of Rulin Road and head south, turn at Gufu Street into the lanes; within walking distance are many small shops and stalls that look modest but are often long-running and genuinely good value.
